Halloween is just around the corner. Whether you’re dressing as a sexy cop, going all glam as Katy Perry or Beyonce, or simply playing it safe as the neighborhood witch, there is no reason to keep your makeup mediocre. Go all out and be creative, and there is no better way to emphasize the shape of your eyes than with false lashes. After the holiday, you may enjoy the feel of the eye flutter so much that they may become an accessory to every fall fashion look. Follow these three steps below on how to perfectly apply faux lashes. The mile-long lashes you’ve always dreamed of having can now be a reality with high quality false lashes from Urban Decay.

Step 1 | Apply ALL Eye Makeup Prior to Falsies

Apply eyeshadow and liner prior to your false lashes.  Bobbi Brown’s Long-Wear Cream Shadow glides on smoothly and will last the entire day, despite an occasional readjusting of your lashes. Applying shadow afterwards would only result in multicolored lashes and your lids may not be evenly tinted. Also, add your liner. This will help place your lashes in the right spot. The Tightline Cake Eye Liner by Laura Mercier is great to use both before and after applying your false lashes for a more natural look.

Step 2 | Cater to Natural Lashes: Curl and Coat

Do not forget about your natural eyelashes.  Use a lash curler to help coil and exaggerate the shape. The Lancome eyelash curler is amazing and will help to hold a lasting curl.  Afterwards, remember to use a great mascara like Too Faced Better Than Sex. It will coat and curl for a voluptuous shape that will complement that of the false lashes.

Step 3 | Time for Falsies

This is the fun part, but can also be trying. Pick your favorite style of false lashes.  At Viral Fashion, we love Urban Decay’s Bait Perversion lashes for their edgy look and black liner. Use Duo adhesive to ensure the lasting effect of your lashes. Line the base of the lash with the glue, wait a couple of seconds, and calmly apply the lash along the black liner. Add pressure for eyelash precision, and boom! Your falsies have been applied. Wait 5 minutes, then add extra mascara at your discretion for thicker or longer lashes, when the falsies have been dried. Follow the same steps on your other eye. Then just continue to bat your eyes throughout the fall season.
