Grab your hearts before Valentine’s Day rolls around, hemophilia just to give yourself that proper preparation for any fancy dates, outings or maybe just Netflix that may lie ahead for your romantic holiday. As beauty trends are getting more and more creative, so are techniques and application. And what could be more creative than getting into the loving spirit than being an all-around sweetheart in every possible way?

No matter your plans, we’re here to make sure that you’re beautiful. For starters, begin with Gucci Face Luminous Perfecting Concealer before applying your typical foundation. Use the tip of the brush to trace nickel-sized hearts directly under your eyes and fill it in. This will serve as your highlighting. Add the concealer to any other area you deem worthy of an extra glow — hearts can be placed on the bridge of the nose, forehead, and chin. The extra dab of the heart ensures that you’ll give yourself a fresh look for your upcoming outing. Continue your contouring with Gucci Golden Glow Bronzer to add extra depth to your natural shadowing.

If you’re feeling even more like a sweetheart, time to doll it up. Too Faced offers a variety of heart-shaped blushes made for any mood from warm pinks to sensual nudes. Grab your favorite brush and heart away! Nothing can be sweeter.

Top off the look with a classic Betty Boop pout. Nothing could be more adorable or classic. Create the iconic sweetheart look with Chanel’s Rouge Coco Shine Hydrating Sheer Lipshine. Multiple shades of deep red to poppy oranges, the hues will satisfy any activity for the evening.

Although comfort should come first, its not usually on a woman’s mind when buying shoes. In fact, it’s somewhat of a dreaded quality in terms of footwear. A point driven home by the well known Christian Louboutin, “I would hate for someone to look at my shoes and say ‘Oh my God! They look so comfortable!’” But this season, all of that has changed. Designer brands like Victoria Beckham, Alexander Wang, and Edun incorporated the flat mule into their spring collections, proving that comfort and style can be fashionably combined. Over the years, designer and style-icon Victoria Beckham has been transitioning her line from super sexy, high fashion to stylish pieces that can be worn by the everyday woman. Her spring collection is the perfect embodiment of that transition. The black and white mules that were paired with everything from dresses to culottes fit right into the collection, which was described by Beckham to be “more about attitude and just making things fresh and carefree.” Claiming to be inspired by real, everyday people, it should come as no surprise that Wang included the comfortable-shoe-of-the-season in his spring collection. Wang modernized the mule by creating a strappy, studded version. Exuding an undeniable downtown vibe, this edgier mule went perfectly with the deconstructed denim, army surplus separates, pajama silks, and slip dresses that filled the collection. Pulling inspiration from a kingdom in Africa, Edun designer Danielle Sherman debuted a spring collection filled with intricate African craftwork. In the case of shoes, it came in the form of pointy slippers that were adorned with tassels, attesting to the fact that mules can be both luxe and sexy.
Inspired by everyday women, this trend is literally for everybody – even if you’re not a fashion risk taker. Pair pointed mules with wide legged pants, a studded pair is ideal for a night out in town. From the office to a girls night out, you really can’t go wrong with mules.
