The 2016 CFDA (The Council of Fashion Designers of America) Awards took over New York City’s Hammerstein Ballroom for the first time ever. Hosted by Joel McHale and with performances by Jennifer Hudson and Michael C. Hall. Even though it wasn’t televised, we have the inside scoop on all of the winners from last night. These awards highlight individuals who have shaped American fashion “from all areas of the industry and related arts,” the Council of Fashion Designers of America’s site explains, “with awards being given for design excellence in womenswear, menswear, and accessories as well as extraordinary accomplishments in journalism, creative vision, and lifetime achievement.”
