Pretty, poised, poignant and filled with downright gorgeous clothes, Raf Simons’ last collection for Jil Sander left us positively breathless, not to mention just a little bit sad. Playing The Smashing Pumpkins’ “Tonight, Tonight” for his finale just made us love him more. It’s no wonder he got a standing ovation. Were we in attendance (that we weren’t was a simple oversight, surely) we would have been on our feet too.

It’s been official for a few days now that Stefano Pilati will be leaving YSL after he presents his F/W 2012 collection this Monday. He had a good run, but with rumors circulating for a week about former Dior Homme and YSL menswear designer Hedi Slimane stepping in as his replacement, well, we’re finding it a little hard to feel too crushed by Pilati’s departure. #JustSaying.
